Laurent Criou

I am an integrative psychoanalyst and a group analyst. I trained at the Nouvelle Faculté Libre (NFL) in Paris as well as at the Institute of Group Analysis (IGA) in London and I have worked in private practice since 2012. My practice integrates both traditional psychoanalysis as well as relational and humanistic psychotherapy.

I work both individually and in groups with adults facing unhappiness, anxieties, addiction, stress, abuse, trauma, depressive feelings, relationship issues, sexual or existential struggles. I believe that psychoanalytic psychotherapy can help you unearth some of the root causes of these life issues and address the inner blocks preventing you from living a much more full and conscious life.

The length of the therapeutic process, which we will work through together, can vary from a few weeks to a few years.

I worked as a group analyst at the Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust where I conducted long-term open ended therapy groups for adults and young persons.

I am also a graduate of INSEAD’s Master’s Degree in Consulting and Coaching for Change and a qualified executive coach. I work with senior leaders and CEOs mostly from the private sector and have a strong track record in supporting them to lead change.

I practice both in English and French and work both online and in person. I have lived and worked in France, the US, China, Singapore and the UK.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and of the Institute of Group Analysis (IGA).
