Dee Galliano

I am a Psychodynamic Psychotherapist, working with adults and trained in the Jungian tradition at the Society of Analytical Psychology, where I am a Member. I have a private practice based in Northamptonshire and at the Queen Anne Street practice.

Within my practice I offer psychotherapy to adults on a weekly and more frequent basis. I have a particular interest in the impact of early relational difficulties and trauma upon our later relationships and ‘ways of being’ and the interconnectedness between our psychological and physical health.

As a Parent-Infant Psychotherapist, based in Oxfordshire, I also work with parents and their infants from conception to two years of age, exploring attachment and relational difficulties.

My dual psychotherapy trainings are reflected in my ways of working: seeking meaning and understanding through making connections between our past and present; exploring the complex narratives that emerge in our lives; the choices we make and how these shape the relationships we form.

In addition to my clinical work, I offer supervision to trainee Psychoanalytic Psychotherapists with the Association of Group and Individual Psychotherapy.
The path I have followed towards my current practice is embedded in many years of work with both individuals and groups, within private practice, GP surgeries and hospital settings within the NHS.

It is within the unique nature of the therapeutic relationship, through the experience of meeting with another person outside our circle of family and friends, who is interested, attentive and professionally trained in the ‘ways of the mind’, that our ways of being and relating can be reflected upon. This offers opportunities for developing a deeper understanding of ourselves and possibilities for growth.

I am registered with the British Psychoanalytic Council.
