Deborah Petrou

Deborah Petrou

I am a psychodynamic psychotherapist working with individuals and a further training and extensive clinical experience in couples therapy. I offer a thoughtful, collaborative space where you can explore emotional difficulties, relationship patterns, and the deeper experiences shaping your life.

I typically see clients once or twice weekly in person, with online sessions available for flexibility and accessibility.

My work is grounded in depth and sensitivity, with particular experience supporting clients through bereavement and loss, anxiety, depression, workplace challenges, relationship difficulties, and infertility. I have worked across a range of settings, including schools and mental health charities, supporting adults, adolescents, and families.

In our work together, we will look beyond immediate concerns to understand the underlying patterns and past experiences that may be influencing how you feel and relate today. This deeper exploration can open the possibility for meaningful, lasting change.

I am a registered member of the British Psychoanalytic Council and the British Infertility Counselling Association, and I adhere to their professional and ethical standards.

If you are considering therapy, you are welcome to get in touch to arrange an initial consultation. This first step offers a space to talk about what’s bringing you, ask questions, and see whether working together feels right.
